Why the discounted price?

Let me tell you a story:

Jazzy (44) came to me for help because she wanted a promotion. She worked in a care home in a minimum wage job and everyone thought the world of her. The manager wanted to promote her ... but there was a problem. The care home was part of a big group and HR insisted that all supervisory grades needed a qualification in maths ... and Jazzy didn't have one. Her boss paid for a course at Heart of Worcestershire College, but she was still struggling. She contacted me to see if I could help.

As I listened to her, it was plain that she just couldn't afford my regular fee. But she was committed to her own success ... and so was I. We discussed things for quite a while.

I gave her a good discount for a regular 1-day-a-week commitment during my quiet time.  She also promised herself no less than three 1-hour private study sessions a week.

Education shouldn't be unaffordable. I'll ALWAYS do my best to help you out.

She got her qualification and her promotion.  :-)

How we do it

You will buy the CGP textbook and workbook and download as many past papers as possible.

From there, we can follow one of two routes:

Route 1: We will go through the textbook and learn the content systematically. You will will follow through by tackling past papers and doing exercises from the workbook.

The following week, we will spend the first few minutes by reviewing your private study and filling in any holes.

Route 2:  We will work through past papers. You will learn all the tricks and techniques you need to get maximum marks. Where you need additional learning, we'll highlight the sections in the textbook for your consolidation.

Your commitment

Buying the books is only the start. After that it's a case of organising your own study sessions.

You'll probably decide on 3 or 4 study sessions a week. They need to be high-energy sessions in a studying environment. As an example, Jazzy cycled to work past St John's Library. Three days a week, she stopped in the library fo an hour's study session on the way. You can work it to suit yourself ... but 3 hours is an absolute minimum.

Why do I care?

Let me tell you another little story.

I was a bad lad at school and came out at 16 with nothing. I started working in an engineering company; this was the early 70s and there was a severe skills shortage, so even a drongo like me could get a job. I loved the work and was soon noticed as a bright lad. My boss sent me to college one day a week ... and I did well.

I finally decided (in my mid-20s) to take education seriously. I went to night school and eventually got into university.

I had been an under-performer ... and an opportunity to get education lifted me up. That's why I care.

And that's why I'll help if I possibly can.

I've helped people get onto the ladder in nursing, vetinary nursing, education, health and fitness, early years education and onto apprenticeships.

How can I help you?
