I always do the first session as a "try-before-you-buy" so you can get an idea whether you want to work with me or not. We'll have a look at a couple of questions and you can see how I do things.. You'll learn how to read questions for perfect understanding and how to give perfect answers.

Maths Made Easy

I don't make maths easy; YOU make maths easy.

You see, when you do understand it and know how to do it, it's easy.

I often have students saying, "At first, I thought that question was hard, but actually, it was easy." What they meant was, "At first, I had no idea. Now I understand it perfectly."

It's all about CONFIDENCE

It's very simple, really: you want confidence in your own learning. And confidence means having four things:

so you can get or exceed your target grade.

Just imagine yourself walking into the exam room. How do you see yourself? Are you 100% confident that you are well-prepared and can handle anything they throw at you?  That's what your tutor will give you.

What you will do

You will work through past exam paper questions and learn how to ace every single one.

Sometimes you'll spend a couple of weeks working through a complete paper. Sometimes it will be a paper of only selected 3 and 4-mark questions. Sometimes it will be a paper focusing on solving equations or trigonometry or whatever topic you choose.

You will learn the correct approach to every kind of question and how to give a full-marks answer neatly and quickly. Doesn't that sound like the ideal exam preparation?

The Secrets of Success

That means finding what you're already pretty good at and making it excellent. Find out what you're not very good at and work on it.

One problem with British education is that we aren't taught thinking skills. In tutorials you will learn how to think clearly and neatly.

1- Think,
2 - Do,
3 - Think

Whenever you finish a problem or answer a question, ask yourself: "What did I learn from it? Can I do it even better and even faster next time?"

Progress is "built in."

How you will do it

The very first thing you will learn is to read with a pencil; that completely eliminates misreading and allows you to see and underline the key information. You might also make quick sketches to help you.

I will then ask you what you are thinking. My job is then to listen carefully and offer any guidance you need. If you need any additional teaching, we'll do it there and then.

You will never get stuck or feel helpless because I show you how to guarantee your own success. You will learn a problem-solving that all STEM people use:

Once you have got to the perfect answer, I'll ask you <the ultimate question>:

"If you see another question like this again, can you ace it?"

That's the question that guarantees great progress.

Each and every tutorial will give you something of real value. You will learn topics thoroughly and know precisely how to give the full-marks answer.

You will also learn all the "tricks and techniques" that real people use in mathematical work to work faster and better. You will get the benefit of my huge experience in STEM subjects: I've done it all and you will learn how it's done.

And these are the benefits.

You'll learn how to think your way through problems. This puts you in control. Say goodbye to fuzzy thinking and confusion.

With clear explanations you'll soon master the basics. You'll then learn how to use the basic skills to learn the more complex topics. Before long, you'll start to wonder what you ever found difficult.

It's baked-in. Your own motivation coupled with my tutoring style guarantees that you will make spectacular progress day by day. You'll even find that your school lessons become easier.

After working your way through many past papers, you'll see the types of questions asked and how to spot the traps. And you'll also learn the tricks and tips that real mathematicians use to get the job done quickly and neatly.

You can see how this works, can't you? Can you imagine yourself walking in to that exam room with your head held high? And you'll do it because you know how to do everything just right. How good does that make you feel?
